The general objective of the project is: increasing access to affordable, sustainable and high quality services for a minimum of 240 elderly people in Ighiu commune, Alba County by developing and providing counselling, assistance and recovery services as well as home care services within the Day Care Center for Elderly. This will improve the quality of life of these elderly people, who are highly dependent and unable to provide basic needs (self-service, personal care). The newly created services will also work after the completion of the project, which will lead to an increase in the number of people who will benefit directly from these services. Improving living conditions by sanitising personal space and improving nutrition will directly reduce the vulnerability situation and social dependence of older people and implicitly reduce the pressure on the shoulders of the members. The targeted benefits at target group level will be passed on at local and regional level, having both long-term effects, the aim of the project being: — prolonging and improving the quality of life of older people through the services offered; promoting active and dignified social participation for 240 people; — providing personalised services that meet the specific needs of the target group, especially those with complex needs, – widely promoting positive attitudes towards the elderly and forming a new image of them, defining them as an active part of the population that concentrates a significant proportion of socio-economic and cultural potential by running a “You are not alone” campaign; — increasing the level of knowledge of the needs of the persons for whom the intervention is made, in order to facilitate integration or reintegration into society; encourage older people and offer the possibility to lead a life as healthy, productive, participatory and independent as possible; the development of the long-term care system through the Day Care Center already in place in Ighiu Commune;The intake flow, the capacity of the centre is 12 people supported simultaneously – combating the risk of social exclusion and improving the quality of life of older people, as well as promoting their participation in society; development of an integrated inclusive approach to policies on equal opportunities and active ageing; — creating the prerequisites for developing the infrastructure needed to support the care system for elderly dependents in the commune; Integration into the community of elderly people in need of care and the creation of an enabling environment that allows them to live in their own long-term housing through home care activities; — promoting active ageing and cons
