GRANDMOTHERS OF SALONTA COMMUNITY

This project, “Good of the Salonta Community”, aims to achieve the specific objective of the investment priority, namely to reduce the number of people belonging to vulnerable groups by providing social and medical services to vulnerable elderly people in the municipality of Salonta, such as home care and day care. Through the above-mentioned project, the ATU The Municipality of Salonta aims to contribute to the development of existing social services in the municipality for the elderly population in need, including those with disabilities in order to prevent and combat the risk of social exclusion of the elderly, with the long-term effect of strengthening their social participation and promoting active ageing. In this respect, the general objective of the project is the integrated approach of older people, including persons with disabilities, by organising various activities aimed at supporting the increase in the number of people who have overcome the vulnerability situation, following participation in social services offered within the day care centre, but also through the socio-medical service of the home care unit. In addition to these services, it is proposed through the project and activities through which the people included in the program participate in interactive games, organised exits, in order to encourage them to develop from a conversational point of view, to develop their logical thinking skills, and to overcome the sense of futility that some have adopted due to the poor social conditions due to the unfavourable environment in which they lived and live so far, without due attention, according to their needs.
