General objective: Reducing the number of people at risk of poverty and social exclusion from the marginalised community of non-Roma “Cartier Plevna – Dorohoi”, Dorohoi Municipality, Botosani County, by implementing integrated measures. At the level of the marginalised area there are several households/families at risk of poverty and social marginalisation that register a difficult situation in terms of employment, health, housing conditions and need support to overcome their situation. The main problems faced by the marginalised community are related to housing, health, social needs, education and labour market integration. As follows: The following problems are recorded at the housing level: — the general degradation of buildings and housing due to the low income level – the state of degradation at subsoil level (blocks/collective dwellings) with risks to the structure of the building and the health of the inhabitants; — the state of degradation at the terrace level with risks to the apartments on the upper floors – low thermal comfort during summer and winter and high heating costs – low area of living spaces and overcrowding At the level of health and social needs of the population there are the following problems: — a high percentage of people with disabilities and chronic diseases – problems in the quality of life of persons with disabilities and the elderly in the context of diminishing their capacity to care for themselves – the precariousness of housing conditions due to low incomes – the risks of diseases caused by housing precariousness, the presence of insects and pests – problems in the capacity of providing basic food – problems in access to social rehabilitation services and community assistance. — problems in ensuring adequate nutrition of children against the background of low incomes – difficulties in guiding children for educational activities after school – difficulties in the supervision and control of children in the domestic area – behavioural difficulties in children in scocial risk families (parents, single parents) that can degenerate into juvenile crimes; At the level of labour market integration needs, there are the following problems – lack of ability to guide the labour market and identify potential employers – lack of skills and qualifications or possession of irrelevant skills and qualifications – lack of skills needed to start small businesses or lack of necessary funds – high degree of domestic load for female active population The main categories of people most affected by poverty are children and young people, especially those with disabilities
