The general objective of the project is to develop an integrated services mechanism that eliminates the determinants of marginalisation of people at risk of poverty and social exclusion from the marginalised community identified on the territory of Galati SDL, addressing the need to increase access and participation in education and social services, lack of vocational education/training and limiting employment opportunities. The project uses an integrated, multisectoral approach to social inclusion – increasing access to social services, education, employment, thus responding to POCU specific objective 5.1 as these integrated measures will bring about a change in the marginalised community in terms of access to economic, educational and social resources for people at risk of poverty and social exclusion. In terms of long-term benefits for the target group, the project contributes to increasing participation in education and training in view of further transition on the labour market, thus increasing the standard of living and creating prerequisites for the development of family members. The main benefit of the project is that it will offer real chances of removing 1,001 people from poverty and social integration, of whom 50 Roma people, who are at risk of poverty, face severe material deprivation and/or live in households with extremely low activity intensity and who will benefit from integrated services.
