#FAPTE: Establishment of preschool groups at the Technical College of Food Industry Dumitru Moțoc

The general objective of the project is to increase participation in pre-preschool education with 61 children in Sector 5 (of which at least 31 % will be children belonging to the Roma minority and minimum 4 with CES/disability) by developing pre-preschool education services as a result of the expansion of the Dumitru Moțoc Garden, organising activities of guidance, counseling and awareness of parents/guardians/persons who care for children, providing qualified human resources and encouraging creative ways of teaching-evaluation. The proposed project will establish an integrated plan of measures with concrete benefits and positive effects in the medium and long term that will contribute to the achievement of the specific objective AP 6/PI 10.i/OS 6.2 through support activities for parents (parental education workshops, information and counselling, awareness campaigns), increasing the number of places in nurseries (establishment of preschool education groups), improving skills and certification of teaching staff (1 NCA specialised educator course – 15 teachers, 1 nursery educator course, accredited by ANC – 15 teachers, courses Evaluation and Personal Development of Children and Students, accredited MEN and Inclusive School – Techniques applicable to children with CES in the teaching-learning process, accredited MEN with 30 teachers from the educational unit, but also from other early education units in Sector 5). The general objective contributes to achieving the objectives of the National Strategy on Early School Leaving, measures aimed at increasing access to early education and care to reduce the risk of early school leaving before the onset of problems, as well as to those of the National Strategy on the Social Inclusion of Romanian citizens belonging to Rome Minority through affirmative measures and ensuring equal, free and universal access to quality education for Roma. The project will thus generate a positive long-term effect for the target group by reducing and preventing early school leaving and promoting equal access to quality education. The general objective of the project is in accordance with the provisions of the Applicant’s Guide – specific conditions through the development of preschool education services.
