Reducing the number of people belonging to Roma and non-Roma communities, from marginalised urban areas of Ramnicu Sarat, communities at risk of poverty and social exclusion, by implementing integrated interventions of employment, education, vocational training, entrepreneurship and social assistance in the context of the implementation of the Local Development Strategy approved under the CLLD mechanism. Through its general and specific objectives, the project contributes to the achievement of the major objective of “POCU 2014-2020”, which aims to develop human resources by increasing access to a quality education and training system, stimulating employment, especially for young people, reducing poverty and social exclusion by facilitating access to social services, the project aiming to reduce excessive poverty in marginalised communities through measures of employment, education and training, social assistance, entrepreneurship, as well as other measures designed to help these social categories. Through the integrated interventions it promotes, the project contributes to the achievement of specific objective 5.1. (AP5, OT9, PI9vi, OS 5.1) involving the removal from poverty and social exclusion of marginalised Roma and non-Roma communities in the urban area with a population of over 20,000 inhabitants correlated with the requirements of the CLLD mechanism, communities for which the Local Development Strategies financed from POCU (Stage I Mechanism CLLD) have been developed and approved. The long-term positive effects generated by the project for the community in which the interventions will take place are related to integrated education measures, training, employment, entrepreneurship, quality social and socio-medical services that will generate improvement of the living conditions of the participants. All this will lead to the removal from poverty of a considerable group of people living in marginalised conditions. Some of them will find jobs or become occupied on their own, thus exiting the situation of social assistance.
