The general objective of the project is to set up social enterprises in order to integrate people from vulnerable groups into the labour market and to combat poverty in the North West and West regions. The general objective of the project is in line with the Investment Priority 9.v “Promoting social entrepreneurship and vocational integration in social enterprises and social and solidarity economy to facilitate access to employment” and with Specific Objective 4.16. “Strengthening the capacity of social economy enterprises to operate in a sustainable way”. The project will be a prerequisite for countering the negative effects of the structural adjustments generated by the economic and financial crisis by generating economic and social alternatives and by improving the economic status of the persons who want to set up a social enterprise and of the persons who will have the status of employees within them. In the long term, the benefits generated by the project aim to provide a decent living for the 120 members of the target group, for the minimum 95 employees of the social enterprises established and, last but not least, for the members of the communities in which the 30 social enterprises created will operate. This will be achieved by presenting social entrepreneurship as an alternative in career, by providing professional training programs in the field of entrepreneurial skills and other related competences necessary to ensure long-term sustainability and by providing seed-type financial support dedicated to social enterprises. The implementation of the project will lead to the support of 30 social enterprises, including social enterprises of insertion (through the de minimis scheme) and the creation of at least 95 jobs – these will have a positive impact on the communities in North West and West regions. All the benefits offered through the project will spread to the community in which the social enterprises will operate, thus creating a multiplier effect. At the same time, the state benefits indirectly from the implementation of the project, considering the reduction of the unemployment rate and the economic growth generated by the new social enterprises set up. In the long term, the network to support social entrepreneurship will continue its activity, providing support and assistance for people who want to start a social enterprise – managerial consulting, access to professional training, promotion, etc., thus increasing their chances of success. In conclusion, the implementation of the project will generate a positive medium and long-term impact on the sustainable development of North West and West regions.
