Developing an innovative business discovery solution to increase the competitiveness and profitability of companies

The overall objective is consistent with the major objective – research and innovation related to the EU strategy for smart, green and inclusive growth – Europe 2020, but also with one of the 3 priorities – smart growth: developing an economy based on knowledge and innovation. The overall objective is in line with the EU headline target – 3 % of EU GDP should be invested in R & D. Achieving the general objective of the project helps to achieve Priority 4: “Promoting the 10 sectors of the future” of the National Competitiveness Strategy 2014-2020 in which one of the sectors where Romania can make a significant contribution worldwide is the “Information and Communication Technology” sector. Considering that POC is a strategic document that contributes to achieving the objectives of the EU strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth, it appears that the overall objective of the project is consistent with the objective of the Competitiveness Operational Programme and especially with the objective of Priority Axis 2 – Information and Communications Technology (ICT) for a competitive digital economy directly connected with the objectives of the National Digital Agenda Strategy for Romania 2014-2020. One of the expected benefits of the existence of innovative ICT applications implemented within private companies is to reduce the time by up to 80 % for data collection in the reporting process that will reduce the time of analysis due to the use of the solution, optimise information flows in a unidirectional way from data sources to the centralised BIDS solution, reduce the costs associated with preparing and processing data from the IT department, creating a transparent and relaxed working environment in companies, etc. This translates into increasing productivity at the level of the private sector, on all verticals of the economy. The promotion and implementation of IT technologies at the level of companies will offer them competitive advantages in a dynamic market, aligned with international standards. The international economy is based on knowledge and electronic means, and its non-use will become a brake on the progress and development of a nation.
