The aim of the project is to develop innovative ICT solutions with applicability in the Romanian HoReCa and retail industry, in order to increase the contribution of the ICT sector to the development and competitiveness of the other sectors of the national economy. The general objective is to develop an innovative integrated system for managing the operational activities of HoReCa and retail economic operators that allows the necessary infrastructure to be integrated into an accessible online software platform. The project, which proposes to carry out a research on the development of an innovative ICT management system with applicability in the HoReCa and retail sectors in Romania, contributes to the specific objective of Priority Axis 2, OS2.2 to increase the contribution of the ICT sector for economic competitiveness. The use of ICT in the management process of the operations of the economic agents in the proposed sectors can determine their competitiveness based on efficiency factors. By integrating the ICT solution that will be researched through this project, economic operators will improve and streamline their organizational processes, saving long-term financial and time resources, thus gaining competitive advantages. The conditions of competitiveness depend, in this case, on the ability of these two sectors to obtain benefits by integrating new technologies into their activities. At the same time, improving current management systems by introducing innovative functionalities with the help of information and communication technology determines competitiveness based on innovation. The current partners within this project, as well as others who will join later, will contribute to the innovation-based economic competition, by developing and selling the innovative product for which the present research is carried out. Providing the necessary premises for generating new knowledge and skills that can be transferred to the productive process in order to obtain innovative ICT products/services will increase the competitive advantage of domestic companies. The demand that exists on the market for such ICT solutions will increase the contribution of the ICT sector for economic competitiveness, while increasing the added value generated by ICT products and services in GDP. Supporting this project means supporting the development of domestic software products, which is one of the weaknesses of the ICT sector in Romania, as identified by the Digital Agenda for Romania. As a result of the research carried out through the project, the consortium will submit a patent application for the software solution it seeks to create, thus making a leap towards a development model based on innovation and collaboration (between actors in the ICT industry, within the ELINCLUS cluster), as desired by the Competitiveness Operational Programme. The competitive advantages recorded by Romania in certain sectors of activity are determined
