The general objective of the project is to strengthen the capacity to react to the public health crisis caused by the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus by adequately equipping the Romanian Emergency Hospital with the necessary equipment, medical equipment and medical devices to combat the spread of SARS-CoV-2 virus infection, and for the public medical system to respond in a timely and effective manner to the COVID-19 crisis. By implementing the activities foreseen within the project, the project contributes to the achievement of Specific Objective 9.1 Increasing the capacity to manage the COVID-19 health crisis of LIOP, Priority Axis 9 Protection of population health in the context of COVID-19 pandemic. The project responds to LIOP requirements 2014-2020, contributing to the achievement of the result indicator of the program (Adequate capacity for care and treatment of cases of infection with SARS-CoV-2/health crisis management) by equipping the Romanian Emergency Municipal Hospital, sanitary unit that will be equipped with equipment needs approved by the responsible authorities, namely the Ministry of Health through the Neamt Public Health Directorate. The project is type A, the action The endowment of public sanitary units/public intervention units/public entities involved in blood transfusion activity with medical equipment and equipment, medical devices and medical protection, equipment for specialised transport, equipment for decontamination and triage support, necessary for the treatment of patients with infection COVID-19 and for the management of the emergency situation caused by the COVID crisis – 19 at the level of public health units/public units of integrated intervention, in particular, but not limited to: • Ventilators/medical monitors/injectomates/infusomates/additional beds and other intensive care infrastructure additional to that existing in the sanitary units, re-harvests/extraction and diagnostic tests SARS-Cov-2/substances needed for decontamination/biocides, etc.; • Combination, including hood and shoe protection, protective visor, disposable gloves, protective masks, isollets with negative pressure for carriage on the stretcher The project contributes to the result indicator of LIOP 2S132 – Appropriate capacity to care and treat cases of infection with SARS-CoV-2/health crisis management virus. The indicator is qualitative: Before the LIOP intervention: NO; After the LIOP intervention: YEAH, YEAH, YEAH. By equipping medical equipment that will be used both directly for COVID patients and for the treatment and care of suspect or non-COVID patients will improve the monitoring and care capacity of patients addressing the Romanian Emergency Hospital, especially severe cases requiring intensive therapy admission.
