The general objective of the project is to support sustainable urban development by making investments in education and training, namely to improve the educational infrastructure with relevance on the labour market. In the forecast study on the demand for vocational training at the horizon of 2013 and towards 2020, 11.2 % of vacancies are identified for tourism and public nutrition, and for the mechanical field -23.8 %, it is part of the vocational training fields within the education unit proposed for rehabilitation/modernisation. The project proposes the realisation of investments specific to eligible actions, namely modernisation and rehabilitation of the home and high school of the Technical College of Communications N.V.Karpen. The proposed works will contribute to the increase of energy efficiency and thus to reduce the expenditures for the thermal energy supply of the building. Also, the endowment with alternative energy sources will contribute to reducing CO2 emissions and thus increasing the consumption of renewable energy sources.
