CREATION OF A HIGH-LEVEL COMPETENCE CORE FOR INCREASING RENEWABLE ENERGY CONVERSION EFFICIENCY AND ENERGY AUTONOMY THROUGH THE COMBINED USE OF RESOURCES

The general objective of the project is to create a high-level scientific and technological competence in the field of increasing conversion performances for renewable energy types that are found in important quantities in Romania (solar, biomass, wind, hydro). The core thus created will have as priority the participation in national, but especially international, competences in the field. The working team will be carried out within the branch of a national research institute (INOE 2000 – IHP Branch Bucharest), which in the last 8 years has established a new research directorate, “ENERGY VERZIES”. Projects on the exploitation of solar, biomass and wind energy have been carried out within this research direction. Previous experience will be intertwined with that of the Project Director, who is a recognised personality in the field of design and optimisation of renewable energy conversion systems, mainly wind and hydro.
