Increase the level of smart functionality of the natural gas distribution infrastructure used for the realisation of the community service of public utility for the supply of natural gas to the population, in accordance with the legislation in force, by improving flexibility, safety, operational efficiency, as well as by integrating the transmission, distribution and final consumption activities at Simian Commune and the villages that are part of the intelligent functionality of the natural gas distribution infrastructure: The length of natural gas distribution networks with smart functionalities as a share of the total length of the distribution networks in Romania. As at 31.12.2019, the total length of the national natural gas distribution network was 56.694 KM. Based on the analyses of the National Energy Regulatory Authority, although there are certain smart functionalities of local relevance (pressure metering stations and large consumers), it is not possible to determine network lengths in km comparable to smart natural gas grids. Therefore, the projects financed by this Guide will propose an increase in the weight by reference to the length of 56,694 KM. At the level of this project, 74,201 km of the network will be achieved, which means a share of 0.13 %. The project’s contribution to the public utility service of supplying natural gas to the population through a smart distribution network is 65.31 %. This contribution was calculated as the number of households proposed to be connected by the project (3100) compared to the total number of households in the ATUs/ATUs in the project area (4746).
