In accordance with the directives of the Large Infrastructure Operational Programme (POIM), Priority Axis 9a, Investment Priority 9a and Specific Objective 9.1, Emergency County Clinical Hospital "St. Apostol Andrei" Constanța, as an applicant, aims to protect the health of the population in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic by making investments in health infrastructure that contribute to local and regional development reducing inequalities in health status and promoting social inclusion by improving access to health services so as to achieve an increase in management capacity as well as a strengthening of response capacities in the context of the public health crisis caused by the spread of the SARS-Cov-2 virus. Project “Improving the Medical Capacity of the County Emergency Clinical Hospital”St. Apostol Andrei “Constanţa in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic” aims to limit and counter the spread of the virus, as well as its extremely serious effects on the Romanian population, by obtaining a timely and effective response of the public medical system, which can only be achieved by providing the necessary equipment and equipment in the fight with the crisis caused by Covid-19. The project will contribute to the achievement of the result indicator of LIOP 2S132 – Appropriate care and treatment of cases of infection with SARS-CoV-2/health crisis management. The indicator is qualitative (before LIOP intervention: NO; after the LIOP intervention: YES). Therefore, equipping SCJU with required medical equipment that will be used directly for both prevention and treatment of COVID-19 infection, patient care and treatment capacity will improve effectively and effectively. At present, the intervention capacity of SCJU is limited by reference directly to the number of continuously growing cases in Constanta county as well as to the current endowment with which SCJU is required to manage this pandemic crisis. By obtaining this funding and by successfully implementing the project, SCJU will significantly improve its poor intervention capacity, which is the first short defense against the effects of this virus.
