Romania possesses zeolithic mineral resources to solve problems related to food safety, quality of life and environment and are already market players actively promoting zeolithic materials. Thus, ICIA’s experience in this field (realisation of concetration technologies, making products based on zeolithic material) would be extremely useful to be transferred to SMEs that wish to grow by applying it constructively. The project Realising the transfer of accumulated knowledge and technologies developed by INCDO-INOE 2000, ICIA Branch in the field of Materials for their implementation to SMEs in Romania, TREND, has as main purpose the transfer of the knowledge acquired by INCDO-INOE 2000, ICIA Cluj-Napoca Branch in the Materials field to enterprises that develop their businesses required by the market in zeolites, in order to make better use of the zeolithic volcanic tuff existing in Romanian warehouses. In order to achieve this goal, enterprises will have access to the extensive expertise and research facilities of ICIA Cluj-Napoca in the field of materials – zeolites and, through the trainings carried out, it is envisaged to develop a new type of approach and behaviour of the enterprise to increase economic competitiveness (by boldly and confidently approaching new businesses and investments based on documented studies). The following major objectives are proposed in this project: 1►Extension of the transfer of knowledge and technologies in the field of Materials between a national research institute – the public and interested enterprises – the private environment; 2►Promoting investment in C&I.
