The general objective of the project is to strengthen the capacity to manage the COVID-19 health crisis by DGASPC Giurgiu, by purchasing personal protective equipment/devices, materials and equipment, for the staff of DGASPC Giurgiu and for the beneficiaries of social services in Giurgiu County. The General Directorate for Social Assistance and Child Protection (DGASPC Giurgiu) is a public institution with legal personality, established by Giurgiu County Council Decision no. 9 of 07.01.2005, subordinated to it, which carries out at county level social assistance measures in the field of child protection, family, single persons, elderly people, as well as any persons in need. DGASPC Giurgiu is the main provider of accredited social services at county level. The structure of the institution shall operate in accordance with the specific quality standards in force 39 social service centres, intended for the following categories of beneficiaries: children, with and without disabilities, adults with disabilities, elderly people. Through its implementation, this project will increase the capacity of DGASPC Giurgiu to provide social assistance services in optimal and quality conditions, to improve the safety conditions against COVID-19 infection of employees and beneficiaries, as well as their families, to ensure the continuity of the work processes at DGASPC Giurgiu level in optimal conditions, thus contributing to the result indicator of the programme.
