Increasing the capacity to manage the COVID-19 health crisis in the municipality of Carei

The overall objective of the project is to ensure the timely and effective response of the public health system in the municipality of Carei to the COVID-19 crisis, thus falling under Priority Axis 9, Specific Objective 9.1 of the LIOP – Increasing the capacity to manage the COVID-19 health crisis, aiming to ensure a timely and effective response of the public health system to the COVID-19 crisis. Carrying out the project in the municipality of Carei will contribute to achieving the result indicator of the program Appropriate capacity for care and treatment of cases of infection with SARS-CoV-2/health crisis management by making the necessary investments to strengthen the capacity to respond to the public health crisis caused by the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The endowment of Carei Municipal Hospital, as a health unit with a role in the management of the health crisis – Hospital support COVID 19 positive patients – with equipment needs and high-performance equipment, aims to increase the capacity to manage the COVID-19 health crisis in the municipality of Carei, leading to a more accurate monitoring of the parameters and implicitly to the improvement of the performance of medical services. The high-performance medical equipment will increase the quality of care for patients, increase their chances of survival and thus fully cure them. As the epidemiological situation is most likely to persist over a currently unpredictable period of time, with possible exacerbation, the extension of the medical equipment and equipment of the Carei Municipal Hospital will help to provide additional capacity for care and treatment of COVID-19 cases and strengthen the timely and effective response capacity of the public health system to the COVID-19 crisis. By purchasing medical equipment through LIOP, the level of prevention and care of patients becomes adequate and is the key element in managing the health crisis, thus contributing to the output indicator 2S132. Before the LIOP intervention: No Subsequently to LIOP: Yes By equipping protective equipment and medical equipment that will be used in MOD DIRECT both for the prevention of infection and in the treatment of COVID-19 infection, it will improve the care and treatment capacity of patients. Currently the specific equipment for intervention in such cases covers between 5 %-11 %, depending on the type of equipment in the hospitalisation capacity. Through the project, the care and treatment capacity will increase to 10 %-15 % or will ensure the possibility of interventions that could not be done at the moment. Also, the indicator for monitoring environmental effects at the level of the Large Infrastructure Operational Programme 2014-2020 affected by the project implementation is: “Number of people affected positively or not
