The general objective of the project is to stimulate research-development-innovation activities in two areas of intelligent specialisation “Energy and Environment” and “Eco-nano advanced technologies and materials” of maximum importance for development at national level, for increasing the competitiveness of the Romanian economy, by creating a major infrastructure of national and European relevance capable of supporting Research-Development-Innovation-Innovation oriented to the current needs of the market. The project proposes the development of a complex infrastructure – Advanced Research Center in the field of Propulsion Systems (CCASP) that will bring together all the necessary components for the research, from the fundamental one to the approval and microproduction, from a research center – design, virtual research and simulations, to the practical realisation of vital components, their control and in-depth investigations, as well as special test-experimentation stands of the final equipment. CCASP is designed to be a knowledge-generating tool, an engine for developing Romanian competitiveness of economic development through rapid and efficient transfer of CD results to users. The project contributes to the achievement of the overall objective of the “Partnership Agreement 2019-2020” concluded with the EU. The realisation of an infrastructure – Advanced Research Center in the field of Propulsion Systems (CCASP) – which integrates Research-Development-Innovation at a very high level comparable to European and international standards in priority areas such as “Energy” and “Advanced Materials” contributes greatly to increasing the research capacity of COMOTI INCDTurbomotors and thus of our country. The CCASP will become a pole of excellence, a centre of competence at European level. CCASP will allow research and experimentation of new solutions based on a thorough understanding of the processes and fundamentals that influence the performance of propulsion systems. Completing the virtual experiments with the physical realisation of the main components and especially with the experimentation in real conditions of exploitation of the research results will allow the optimisation of the research, their direction to achieve outstanding performance, leading to a new generation of propulsion systems. The investment in research infrastructures, especially in a CCASP with a unique feature, the integration of R-D-I in several fields, will allow the realisation of new products with special performance, at a high quality level, demonstrated and certified by tests and tests, will significantly influence competitiveness at national level, will allow interconnection with European infrastructures bringing value to both Romania and the EU. The project, through its general objective, its purpose and the results it proposes to achieve, contributes to strengthening RDI, increasing competitiveness and developing ec
