The objective of the project “Sustainable Mobility Plan of the Bratislava Self-Governing Region” is to process the strategic document through IROP under priority axis no.1: Safe and clean transport in the regions. The Sustainable Mobility Plan (SMP) is a strategic plan designed to meet the mobility needs of people in cities and regions and to improve the quality of life. It is developed taking into account existing planning and strategy papers at regional and national level. The pum will serve as an essential tool to ensure the balanced development of the transport system in the region. Identify the relevant links between transport modes so as to ensure the minimum level of mobility needed and determine the type of interventions to be carried out on them (safety, reconstruction, modernisation, integration, etc.). The pum will take into account existing planning practices and principles of integration and participation and the different assessment methods. Updating the traffic forecast in real indicators will be a key basis for the proposed part of the PUM of the different forms of transport and their connectivity. The main purpose of the document will be to address transport at organisational, operational and infrastructure levels, with an emphasis on public passenger transport and non-motorised transport. Pum will respect the basic principles of sustainable mobility and make effective use of new ITS technologies to ensure environmentally and economically efficient transport. The development of the PUM is a precondition for the absorption of funds under Priority Axis 1 in the field of regional and urban public transport development for the 2014-2020 programming period.
