The national project is aimed at promoting employment, employability and reducing unemployment of citizens with disabilities (hereinafter referred to as “citizens with disabilities”) through the provision of contributions. The contributions will be granted pursuant to Act No 5/2004 on employment services and amending certain acts, as amended (hereinafter referred to as the Employment Services Act). Citizens with HEIs form a specific group of disadvantaged citizens, who are often reliant on help and support. Disability disadvantage restricts such a citizen’s access to various employment opportunities, which has an impact on their harder access to the labour market. This is one of the reasons why there is support for citizens with HICs and employers in the form of contributions that make it possible to create the conditions for the implementation of this target group. Support for citizens with HEIs will be implemented in the framework of the national project through active labour market policy instruments aimed at:• setting up sheltered workshops (CPDs) and sheltered workplaces (CHPs) by employers;• maintaining a citizen with HEIs in employment;• start-up and continuous self-employment of at least two years of self-employment by citizens with CHPs;• support for the employment of citizens with HEIs using the assistance of a job assistant;• support for the retention of citizens with HEIs in the CHD and the CHP contribution to cover the operating costs of the CHD or CHP and the cost of transport to employment. The project will be implemented by the Headquarters of the PSVR (hereinafter referred to as “Headquarters”) and 43 offices within Western, Central and Eastern Slovakia.
