In order to increase the quality of life and positive impact on the health of the population, to improve mobility and accessibility and to use public resources more efficiently, it is necessary to allow better – sustainable urban mobility of the inhabitants of Trenčín, its urban parts and adjacent municipalities in the urban functional area of Trenčín. Sustainable mobility is based on a developed strategic plan characterised by a long-term vision and a clear implementation plan, a balanced and integrated development of the different modes of transport, horizontal and vertical integration, an assessment of the current state of play and implementation, regular monitoring and evaluation and taking into account the ancillary costs and benefits of transport. The objective of the present project "Sustainable Mobility Plan of Functional Territory of the Regional City of Trenčín" (hereinafter referred to as "PUM" or "urban Sustainable Mobility Plan) is to provide and offer transport solutions that are available to all citizens, especially with regard to important resources and objectives of daily movement of persons, to increase traffic safety, reduce air pollution, noise, greenhouse gases and energy consumption, to ensure financially efficient and sustainable transport of persons and goods, and to contribute to increasing the attractiveness and quality of urban environment and public spaces in the interest of citizens. The output of the project in the form of a prepared strategic document for transport, including non-motor transport – The Sustainable Mobility Plan of the functional territory of the county town Trenčín will allow the preparation and implementation of system measures for increasing the attractiveness and competitiveness of VOD. Thanks to this approach, the interventions proposed will make a significant contribution to improving the urban environment, with a substantial contribution to quality of life, the environment and the environment, including a sustainable, easily accessible and cost-effective urban transport network linking links to transport systems within an urban area. Urban transport should thus be ensured in accordance with housing, labour, environmental and public spaces requirements. At the same time, it should be designed and implemented in such a way that also disadvantaged districts of Trenčín and adjacent municipalities in the urban functional area Trenčín are better integrated into the urban and regional network enabling better urban mobility of the inhabitants of Trenčín and adjacent municipalities in the urban functional area of Trenčín. The target area of implementation of the project is the territory of the county city of Trenčín and adjacent municipalities in the urban functional area Trenčín, which form the municipalities Skalka nad Váhom, Trenčianska Teplá, Zamarovce, Kostolná – Záriečie, Soblahov, Veľký Bierovce, Trenčianska Turná Project is fully in line with the intervention strategy of IROP, we will contribute to the realisation of strategic urban, regional, national and European goals in the field of using environmentally friendly transport systems for sustainable urban mobility. The project will have a positive impact on the quality of the environment, thereby contributing to improving the living conditions of the population. We will achieve a positive impact by proposing system measures implemented through integrated projects to increase the attractiveness and competitiveness of VODs included in the Urban Sustainable Mobility Plan, as a result of planning, defining the organisational and operational integration of all urban and regional public passenger transport subsystems, which is a proposal for efficient public passenger transport technology, taking into account quality and service standards and factors affecting transport demand and transport supply.
