During intensive rainfall and snow melting, the flow of Kysuca flows through the village of Makov, causing significant damage to property, agricultural land and potentially endangering human health through repeated floods. By adjusting the flow of a total length of 485 m, the flow of Q100 will be carried out, thus increasing the flood protection of the municipality and enabling its territorial and economic development. The project will protect 19 people at immediate risk from flooding and prevent flood damage of more than 6,6 million euro.
