The project is aimed at developing a programme of care for the National Park (hereinafter referred to as “NP”) Slovak Karst and its protection zone, within which there are 13 areas of European importance (SKUEV0284, SKUEV0340, SKUEV0341, SKUEV0343, SKUEV0345, SKUEV0346, SKUEV0347, SKUEV0348, SKUEV0353, SKUEV0356, SKUEV0737, SKUEV0920, SKUEV0922), the programme of care for the Protected Landscape Area (hereinafter referred to as “CHKO”) Strážovské vrchy, which is also a territory of European importance SKUEV0256 and SKUEV1256 Strážovské vrchy and care programmes for the Protected Area (hereinafter referred to as “CHA”) Galmus (SKUEV0287) and the Nature Reserve (hereinafter referred to as “PR”) Drienčanský kras (SKEV0366 and SKEV2366). These documents will also be documents of care – programmes for the care of territories of European importance located within them. The basis for the creation of care documents will be a mapping of the presence of protected objects (habitats and species), an analysis of socio-economic conditions, current influences and factors acting and influencing the objects of protection following ownership relationships. By creating frameworks, principles of care and proposing concrete measures, we will achieve defined long-term and operational objectives to ensure that the condition of the protected subject matter is improved or maintained. The aim of the project will be to prepare and pre-negotiate the documentation of nature protection in accordance with the curriculum in Annex 18 to Slovak Ministry of the Environment Decree No 24/2003 Coll., as amended, implementing Act No 543/2002 Coll. on nature and landscape protection, as amended, taking into account the requirements of the subject-matter of the areas of Community importance that occur within these areas. The documentation will provide the basis for the approval of the principles of care in the 18 SCIs occurring within the area concerned.
