Objective of the project: Improvement of drinking water supply to the inhabitants of Hornozoborská Street in Nitra Reconstruction of the water supply on Hornozoborská Street in Nitra is necessary due to the frequent breakdown of the existing water supply. The reconstruction of the public water supply leads to the replacement of water pipes for new ones, with better hydraulic parameters, thus ensuring a significant reduction of losses in the water supply network and the pressure ratios of the water supply network will be improved. At the same time, the number of faults on the water supply network will be reduced, which significantly affects the cost-effectiveness of public water supply operations. In addition, the improvement of the quality and health performance of drinking water shall be ensured in accordance with Section 13(1) of Act No. 442/2002 Coll. on public water supply and public sewerage, as amended by specific regulations. New water pipes will meet the quality and hygiene requirements in accordance with Directive 98/83/EC on the quality of water intended for human consumption and Government Regulation No. 354/2006 Coll. laying down water requirements for human consumption and quality control of water intended for human consumption. After its completion and commissioning, the proposed project will improve the state of connection of the population in the area to the public water supply, contribute to a smooth supply of drinking water to the population, improve the situation with regard to the increase in the number of inhabitants with permanent access to quality drinking water from public water supply, improve the usability of local water resources and thus significantly reduce water leakages. Measurable indicators projektu:Počet km of reconstructed water supply network: 0.681 kmIncreased population with improved drinking water supply: 153 persons The project is in line with the IROP Strategy – Priority Axis 4 – Improving the quality of life in regions with an emphasis on the environment, which follows thematic objective No 6 Protection of the environment and promotion of resource efficiency, with the specific objective 4.2.1 IROP, as well as the Plan for the Development of Public Water Supply and Public Sewerage for the Slovak Republic.
