The aim of the project is to optimise and strengthen intervention capacities at local and regional level. By optimising the mechanisms for the development of cooperation between the Fire and Rescue Corps (HaZZ) and the Voluntary Fire Protection of the Slovak Republic (DPO SR), the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic (Ministry of Interior) – Presidium HaZZ – a comprehensive mechanism allowing for the long-term development of the DPO SR/DHZO will acquire a comprehensive mechanism allowing for the long-term development of the DPO SR/DHZO. The implementation of the project will establish a long-term strategy for the development and preparedness of the SEZ. Three main sub-activities will overlap during the implementation of the project. The first sub-cativities is the creation of the Strategy for the Development of Cooperation HaZZ and the DPO SR until 2030. The aim is to prepare a strategic document that will propose changes not only at the level of internal co-operation in joint deployment, but also at the level of legislative, intervention and training. The second sub-activity is to support the intervention capacities of the EIGs so that they can fulfil their roles in early and effective intervention during crisis situations caused by climate change. 365 SEZs will be strengthened throughout the Slovak Republic through the implementation of the project. The third sub-activity of the project is to modernise and expand the training plan of the DHZO in the Lešt training centre. The implementation of this activity will not only ensure the training of all supported EEZs in subactivity 2, but will in particular effectively link training support and strengthen intervention capacities. The following measurable indicators will be met through implementation: number of conceptual, analytical and methodological materials: 1,the duration of the intervention for an emergency affected by climate change: 85,number of installations to eliminate climate change risks: 367,number of entities with improved equipment of intervention capacities: 366,the number of activities focused on training, education, exchange of information and experience: 2,number of persons involved in actions aimed at exchanging information, experience, education and training: 2892,reduction of material damage by strengthening intervention capacities: 500 000.
