The aim of the project is to strengthen the intervention capacity and preparedness management of the Fire and Rescue Corps (HaZZ) to deal with emergencies affected by climate change. With this project, HaZZ will gain greater capacity to intervene quickly and efficiently and to deal with an emergency across the whole territory of the Slovak Republic. The implementation of the project consists of three activities aimed at achieving the main objective of the project. The first activity is the optimisation of emergency management processes at the regional level of HaZZ. The project will produce expert methodological materials at regional level – HaZZ Regional Directorates in relation to the specificities of the region, the needs of the development of intervention and professional capacities and procedures for managing an emergency affected by climate change.The second activity is to strengthen the intervention capacities at regional level in order to strengthen the technical readiness of HaZZ across the territory of the Slovak Republic so that it can effectively and effectively manage the incidents that have arisen.The third activity is the extension of the training tools and procedures in the training centre of HaZZ Lešt for HaZZ members. The ongoing training of firefighters will be complemented by modern emergency equipment. Through the project, there is a synergy between the modernisation of the Corps and the technical readiness to manage emergencies.
