Objective of the project: improving the supply of drinking water to the inhabitants of JelšovceThe priority objective of implementing the project is to improve the supply of drinking water to the inhabitants of Jelšovce and to ensure the permanent supply of drinking water to residents living in the municipality, which will meet the qualitative and hygiene requirements of Directive 98/83 EC and Government Regulation No 354/2006. So far, locals use water from wells, which can be and in some cases is contaminated by harmful substances from intensive agricultural activity. Water taken from wellscontains the above harmful substances. The connection to the public water supply will ensure regular supply of quality drinking water, which will be regularly checked by the public water supply operator and the regional public health authority in accordance with Act No 355/2007 Coll. on the protection, promotion and development of public health, as amended. Constructions from the project in question will ensure the required – standard storage of water, an increase in the quality of drinking water supplied and an improvement in the protection of existing drinking water sources for the inhabitants of the village. At the same time, the construction of the water supply will ensure a continuous supply of drinking water, since in the last two years the lack of water in wells has been increasingly repeated, which results in irregular supply of drinking water to the inhabitants of the village.
