The improvement of passive safety on 1st class roads solves the implementation of structural and safety measures on the road section in order to increase safety, fluidity and comfort of transport. The aim is to provide clear, comprehensible and quickly understandable information about the junction, which will create more time for the driver in the decision-making process for dealing with unexpected situation at the junction (collision with pedestrians, force of priority in driving, etc.).With regard to the existing (technical) state of the roads, inadequate road cover, subsoil, etc., elements that were originally proposed with placement in the asphalt road cover (permanent traffic knobs, LED passageways, probes for temperature indicator or horizontal traffic marking) would need to be dismantled before adjusting the cover. For this reason, all sections identified as non-compliant by common agreement with the sponsor were excluded from the proposed modifications. In this section, after the exclusion of the above sections from the proposed modifications, these are solved sections of 34,90 km.The last designed section is located on the road I/16 Vidiná km 287,0 – Tornaľa km 351,0. The length of this section is 64 km. In this section, after excluding the above sections from the proposed modifications, these are solved sections of 31.90 km.The total length of the sections dealt with is 111.60 km. The total duration of implementation after the exclusion of the sections from the proposed modifications is 68.4 km.
