National Cybersecurity Incident Management System in Public Administration

The project aims at creating a network of adequately trained and technically equipped Cybersecurity Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs) at national level. The project in the context of NKIVS contributes to the realisation of the priority of computerisation of public administration “Forming the Infrastructure” and is fully in line with all three strategic objectives “prevention”, “preparedness” and “sustainability” of the National Information Security Strategy in the Slovak Republic referred to by the NKIVS. Under OPII, the project contributes to the achievement of the results of Specific Objective 7.9 ‘Increasing cybersecurity in society’. The project is also fully in line with the fundamental document of the Slovak Republic’s Cybersecurity Concept 2015-2020 approved by the Government of the Slovak Republic. The main objective of the NP is to create a network of adequately trained and technically equipped CSIRTs capable of ensuring the prevention and detection of cyber incidents at national level, while in the case of the implementation of the project: more effective prevention and detection of cyber incidents in the VS environment, more efficient response to cyber incidents in the whole economy. Meeting the above main objective zabezpečí:monitorovaním and registering cybersecurity incidents, receiving early warnings of cyber security incidents, enhancing security by conducting penetration tests, providing the services necessary to manage security incidents, improving incident response management and supporting security incident management, conducting forensic analysis and malicious code analysis, supporting the elimination of consequences, enhancing capabilities by building the skills and expertise of staff; increasing cybersecurity awareness, ensuring an adequate level of cybersecurity and information security in public administration, increasing protection against malicious code, securing and creating compromitation indicators, increasing cyber intelligence and threat hunting. Achieving the main objective of the NA, which is in line with thematic objective 2: “Improving access to and improving the use and quality of ICT” will achieve the following results of Specific Objective 7.9:Reducing the financial impact and impacts on public administration institutions in security incidents, increasing the maturity of the security solutions market by increasing public sector security spending, increasing cybersecurity and applying the latest knowledge in the European space, increasing innovation in security measures, increasing citizens‘and entrepreneurs’ trust in the digital space. Intervention codes for which project prispieva:kód interventions 78: EGovernment services and applications.
