Designed area of greenery in the SPU area is a complete area of greenery in the very center of the city, which is unique in size and therefore very valuable. Equally valuable is the use of elements of greenery such as tree groups and tree stands, whose presence in the city is still decreasing. The terrain of the area is mostly flat. Access to the area is from local roads. The territory primarily serves SPU students. There are supporting buildings such as the rectorate of the university, dormitories with accommodation, school canteens and departments of individual fields of full-time study in the surrounding area and within the area. The area also creates a corridor for the movement of residents from the city center towards the Chrenová settlement and from the SPU area towards the central junction to Tr. A. Hlinka. The proposed measures address: noise reduction, air pollution reduction, dust reduction in the SPU site in Nitra, groundwater protection, soil protection. The project will implement activity (d) urban elements such as small urban design infrastructure elements, green parks, green walls and green roofs, providing biodiversity with an environment and enabling ecosystems to function and deliver services by connecting urban, peri-urban and rural areas; when is the aim of the project: By building elements of green infrastructure, adapting urbanised environment to climate change and introducing system elements to reduce air and noise pollution, improve environmental aspects in the public space of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra. Indicator of the project sú:Počet of built elements of green infrastructure which is 1.Open spaces created or restored in urban areas, which is 14287.40 m² The investment priority mentioned above will be met through the specific objectives of the project: Preservation of biodiversity and ecosystems and their services through their revitalisation in Nitra – SPU.Ensure quality maintenance of public greenery.Improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of Nitra, students and visitors of the Slovak Agricultural University through elements of green infrastructure and revitalisation of public space.
