The project “Pezinok PST – catchment parking for IAD, realisation” aims to build a parking lot for motor vehicles, the aim of which is to achieve an increase in transport to the public by rail passenger transport and thereby contribute to the relief of the road network of transported persons to the Slovak capital city (hereinafter referred to as “SR”). The project will contribute to greater connectivity within the integrated transport system in the Bratislava region. The implementation of the project will create more favourable and better conditions for passengers using public passenger transport, which will motivate inhabitants of catchment areas to prioritise public passenger transport over individual car transport. This impact on the division of transport work will be reflected in the smaller intensities of cars on roads, in a smaller number of emerging congestions, in smaller emissions production and in more efficient traffic management. Another objective of the project is to build a bicycle stand, including the corresponding mobile phone, i.e. parking lot fence, camera system, information system, outdoor lighting, construction of the car park sewerage with built-in oil separators, equipping the parking lot with horizontal and vertical traffic signs.In the project, the underpass under the track No. 5 will be completed, whose task will be to connect station platforms with the parking space. As part of the extension of the underpass, an elevator will be built that will provide barrier-free access for passengers to the platforms of Pezinok ŽST. Part of the project is also the construction of a technological house, in which a replacement source of electricity will be located and the building will be secured by a camera and alarm system. The project also includes the construction of a connection of the parking lot to the road access road.
