The main objective of the project “SEV SAZP Dropie” in Zemianska Olča street Kolárovská 888 is to reduce energy consumption in the operation of the public building by improving the thermal properties of the building’s packaging with the use of energy from renewable sources, thereby saving the overall energy needs as well as primary energy of the building. It is situated in the area of the Centre of Environmental Education (SEV) of the Slovak Environmental Agency (hereinafter referred to as “SAŽP”) Dropie, located on Dolný Žitný ostrov, on parcel numbers: 2574/20, 2574/19, 2574/18, in the cadastral area Zemianska Olča, registered on the extract from the Ownership List no. 1667. SEV SEV SAŽP Dropie is surrounded by Protected Bird Area (hereinafter referred to as SPA) Ostrovné meadows. SPA Ostrovné meadows provides a living space for Naturov species. The object is classified on the basis of the project energy assessment (annex application No. 5) within the meaning of Act 555/2005 Coll. on the energy performance of buildings and amending certain acts under the category of “school buildings and school facilities”. The project addresses the reduction of the energy intensity of the building:• insulation of the building envelope,• by building a new green heating source with hot water preparation (installation of 2 solar collectors with an absorber area of 2.18 m², installation of 2 water-air heat pumps, each of 11.2 kW output)• modernisation of lighting,• other construction and finishing works listed in the project documentation and budget of the project. The target audience for which the project was designed are mainly pupils, students, educators and the general public, to whom the reconstructed facility will provide the opportunity to learn about practical environmental education, nature conservation and NATURA 2000. Implementation of the project will ensure barrier-free access in order to enable hard-disabled people to learn in accordance with the requirements defined in the Act. 50/1976 on land-use planning and building regulations and Decree of the Ministry of the Environment No 532/2002 Coll. laying down requirements on general technical requirements for construction and general technical requirements for buildings used by persons with limited ability to move and orientation. Building energy saving measures are designed beyond meeting the minimum energy performance requirements for buildings under generally binding legislation. After the renovation, the building will reach the ultra-low energy standard, i.e. energy class A1 and is classified as “Building of Schools and School Facilities” in accordance with Section 3(5), Act 555/2005 Coll. on the Energy Performance of Buildings and on Amendments to Certain Acts, as amended. The implementation of the project will fulfil measurable project indicators: P0612, P0470, P0250, P0706, P0707, P0628, P0627, P0084, P0103, P0701, P0687, P0689, P0692, P0694, P0691. The specific objective of the project is to reduce energy intensity for the operation of the building of the Centre for Environmental Education of the Slovak Environmental Agency Dropie. The project will be realised by one main activity “Renewal of SEV SAŽP Dropie”, as the object of the project is only 1 building, for which one energy certificate will be issued. The main activity is fully in line with the eligible activities of the Call for Subsidies, Priority Axis 4 Energy Efficient Low Carbon Economy in all sectors with an emphasis on reducing energy consumption in the operation of public buildings, Operational Programme Quality of Environment. Reconstruction of the building will reduce the energy intensity of the whole operation of SEV SEV Dropie and improve psychohygienic requirements for educational activity.
