At present, efforts are being made to find and optimise ventilation regimes that ensure adequate respiratory gas exchange while at the same time preserving lung tissue. The project brings unique knowledge of full comparability of respiratory parameters and markers of lung damage when comparing three different fans – SV-CMV fan mode AURA V (Chirana) with SV-CMV fan mode SLE5000 or other lungs sparing ventilation methods: VFOV (SLE5000) and VFTV (Monsoon) and VFTV. In clinical practice, several devices are used for artificial pulmonary ventilation, but the possibilities of the device are not always properly tested or the special possibilities of using fans in the modes they allow are not tested. The aim of the project is therefore to test the possibilities of three different fans, to compare them and to evaluate the potential for use in clinical practice.
