The strategic objective of the project is to implement state-of-the-art approaches for phenomic mapping of character diversity and functional manifestations of genetic resources of field and garden crops and the production of phenomic information databases. 4 cross-cutting objectives will contribute significantly to the achievement of the overall objective:1. Support of the Slovak phenotypic platform of the EU project “European Plant Phenotyping Network 2020” (731013/EPPN2020)2. Exploiting the research and innovation potential ofthe Department of Plant Physiology FAPZ SPU and the Laboratory of Production Physiology of the AgroBioTech Research Centre.3. Expanding the interdisciplinary space and international cooperation to achieve internationally respected results in the EU Platform “Browths for the 3 rd millennium”.4. Strengthen the international position of the team, develop scientific and research capacities, as well as strengthen the transfer of the latest scientific and research knowledge into practice. The overall objective of the project is in line with the RISR Implementation Plan SK and the Healthy Food and Environment Smart Specialisation Domain, and falls within the Knowledge Area Plant Production, Plant Genetics and Animals.Activity and its activities are focused on product lines:a) Management Systems preserving biodiversity and valuable genetic resourcesb) Plant polishing, efficient use of a wide range of original genetic material, for the creation of more powerful varieties with a high content of sought-after valuable substances(c) Systems and technologies for the prevention of negative impacts of climate change in agriculture.
