Data management of the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic – Comprehensive project for data management

The MÚMF project is the application of the strategic priority “data management”, but also the strategic priority “Open Data” into the MF SR environment through the introduction of “Data governance”, which is the overall management of the conditions, content, availability and quality of data in the organisation, so that everything is in accordance with the needs of the processes and the purpose of the organisation. Another reason for the implementation of the project is to improve the current state of the data management in the framework of the implementation of the processes and agendas of the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic. It is not appropriate for each information system to establish and manage its own registers and reference data for its own needs. This situation is present-day and requires significant financial and human resources for the development and maintenance of relevant software, for the establishment and administration of registers, as well as for the interconnection of systems. In general, the basic tasks that the MF SR’s data management project will address at the level of a standardised comprehensive data management solution sú:Podpora of the entire data lifecycle of the MF SR with an emphasis on data quality management and data access based on roles and authorisations;Introduction of mechanisms for data integration – rules and tools are implemented by which MF SR’s information systems will be able to access the data sources of another information system, or vice versa;Proposing appropriate reference data for the implementation of the principle of one time and enough, data suitable for the ‘my data’ service and data published as open data. This will support a system of meaningful use of data in public administration and a mechanism for managing authorisations. Data will be systematically used to improve decision-making in public administration through analytical processing. The rights of citizens and businesses in relation to the use of data concerning them will be strengthened. Appropriate standards for data management and interoperability shall be implemented. The MÚMF project pursues the following objectives of computerisation of public administration resulting from the document NKIVS:Priblíženie of public administration to the maximum use of data: Improve the availability of public administration data in the form of open data; Enable the modernisation and rationalisation of public administration by means of means (continuous improvement of services in the use of modern public administration Improve the performance of public administration thanks to the deployment of modern information technologies; Improve the use of data and knowledge in decision-making processes in public administration;Optimising the use of information technologies in public administration thanks to the platform shared služieb:Racionalizujeme operation of information systems using the government cloud;Improve the “governance” of public IT.The place of project implementation is the whole territory of the Slovak Republic. Feasibility study of the project Data Management of the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic – A comprehensive project for data management is available on the Central meta-information system of public administration via the following link — https://metais.vicepremier.gov.sk/studia/detail/44e0aa6b-8a02-4778-a581-564902f0e63d?tab=basicForm
