I/66 Brezno – bypass, Stage II, 1st Section

The project follows directly and is a continuation of the project “I/66 Brezno – bypass, I.etapa”, implemented in the length of 2.542 km and serves to complete the next part of the bypass of the town of Brezno. The subject of the project is the construction of the 1st Section II. Stage I/66 bypass of the city of Brezno with a length of 1.640 km in order to divert transit, mostly heavy freight traffic, which is routed through the city further along the roads I/72 and II/529 outside the built-up area of the city. The aim is to improve the environment of the city (reduction of noise and emissions from transport), increase traffic permeability and provide higher transport comfort to road users.The activities of the project are aimed at the construction and modernisation of the roads I.C. with the aim of increasing the flow of traffic and improving the environment and consist of the following activities: Project implementation (sub-activity: Preparatory and project work, Purchase and lease of land, Implementation of construction activities), Information and communication and project management. The measurable indicators of the project are: Total length of newly built roads (class I roads), Number of critical accident sites removed and collision points on Class I roads, Time savings in road traffic on Class I roads, NO2 emissions saving (impact of construction of Class I roads), Saving of PM10 emissions (impact of construction of Class I roads)
