The aim of the project is to improve accessibility to TEN-T infrastructure and to Class I roads in the region of Upper Považie and Orava. The specific objective of the project is to reconstruct and modernise pathway II/583 in order to improve accessibility to the TEN-T network and to the roads of Class I in the region of Upper Považie and Orava. Class II road 583 is 44.645 km long. It begins in Žilina and ends in Párnica district Dolný Kubín. Road II/583 needs to be reconstructed and modernised in order to remedy the problems identified, to increase traffic fluidity, to improve road users’ safety. As part of the implementation of the submitted project, the second class roads with a length of 6.507 km will be reconstructed. Technical provision of implementation of the project will be solved by contractor. The operational and technical sustainability of the project’s outputs throughout the sustainability period will be ensured by the applicant in accordance with the applicable Slovak legislation. ŽSK has the necessary financial envelope to ensure the operation and sustainability of the project outputs.
