The project “Smart and better Košice Self-Governing Region” aims to fulfil the content in an innovative way, corresponding to the ambitious name using proven tools to increase the efficiency of the operation of the regional self-government mainly for the benefit of residents and all municipalities. Smarter in the upcoming project means increasing the sensitivity of administrative processes to recognise incoming requirements and providing a suitably qualified response in the form of fulfilling the region’s mission. Better means improving the quality of the services provided to citizens and visitors in a measurable way. An innovative element of the project to improve its own processes is a critical view and the pursuit of a more radical change (disruptive innovation) responding to strategic decision-making problems in selected areas of competence. Ensure the processing of input data and information into the decision-making process.The project is an innovative project for several reasons. The first is that the call itself is aimed at using the latest technological solutions and promoting SMART policies in the activities of the region. The second reason is that the enforcement of SMART policies will be applied through the preparation of strategic documents for all VÚCs in the same way, which in the end will contribute to the development of the whole of Slovakia.
