The Secondary School of Electrical Engineering Žilina (SOŠE) is one of the thirteen vocational education and training centres in the Žilina region, and it is the only centre of vocational education and training for electrical engineering in the Žilina region.The town of Žilina is the commercial-industrial center of the Žilina region, where several large enterprises are based in the field of electrical engineering and computerisation, as well as industries that require experts in the field of electrical engineering in their production processes. The objective of the submitted project is to create conditions for increasing the number of pupils of the Secondary Professional School of Electrical Engineering Žilina in practical teaching. By implementing the project activities, we will create conditions for improving the training of pupils, which will contribute to increasing the number of pupils in practical teaching. Žilina Self-Governing Region, as the founder of the school, in order to respond to the current demands of the labour market within the present project, will make significant investments in the building of the school through the submitted project, where new professional and language classrooms with the appropriate technical and hygienic background will be created. These classrooms will be used for study by pupils studying within the 26 – Electrical Engineering. The classrooms will be created in the form of superstructure of the existing extension of the JUH, extension of the new part – extension of SEVER and building modifications of the main school building. Construction works will also lead to the removal of existing barriers in terms of applying the principles of universal design. All classrooms will be equipped with material and technical equipment in terms of ensuring their full usability for the needs of vocational education in the school. The project will also address the activity aimed at improving the energy performance of buildings.The project is thus divided into 3 main activities, type c.), e.) and a.):c.) Procurement of modern material and technical equipment in SOŠE in Žilina Implementation of the above activities will contribute to increasing the attractiveness of the school and education in the fields within the group 26 – Electrical Engineering. The project will contribute to the specific objective of call No 2.2.3 Increasing the number of pupils in vocational secondary schools in practical teaching.
