The main objective of the present project is to prepare a dedicated energy audit of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, the project responds to the call of the Operational Programme Quality of the Environment focused on the development of energy services at regional and local level. A dedicated energy audit carried out will assess current technical systems, thermal and technical characteristics of building structures, provide sufficient information on the current state and characteristics of energy consumption in a group of selected premises of the university campus in Nitra, as well as its more remote buildings. The energy audit will be drawn up by a qualified person, i.e. an authorised energy auditor in accordance with the legislation currently in force, on the basis of the inspection of the objects, the verification of the submitted materials and the available data provided by the university. The implementation of the project is planned during 2020 taking into account the way the individual buildings are used. All the information received will provide the basic framework for the identification and design of energy-efficient measures, the reconstruction and modernisation of technical systems, the determination of the savings potential as well as their economic and environmental assessment. A dedicated energy audit will be an output for the university’s management decisions, which measures to implement in view of their return and will serve as a basis for informed decisions in reducing the energy intensity of the university campus.
