Modernisation of selected sections on 1st class roads in PO and KE region – stage 1

The aim of the project is to improve the technical condition and modernisation of the following road sections:I/18 and I/21 Petič – Hanušovce nad Topľou – the length of the reconstruction section is 9.060 km.I/18 Prešov – Lipníky – the length of the reconstruction section is 7,726 km.I/79 Veľaty – Slovenské Nové Mesto – length of the reconstruction section is 9.941 km.I/79 Vranov nad Topľou – Parchovany – the length of the reconstruction section is 9,996 km.I/79 and III/3680 Small Tŕňa, junction – the length of the reconstruction section is 1.614 km. The total length of the reconstructed sections is 38,337 km. The subject of modernisation is road modification, modification of crossings and entrances, road drainage, reconstruction of passes, modification or replacement of traffic signs, replacement and addition of safety devices, etc. The objectives of the project will be achieved through the implementation of the main project activity (representing preparation of project documentation, purchase of land and implementation of construction works) and supporting activities (internal project management, information and communication).Measurable indicators of the project are* Total length of reconstructed or renovated roads I. class a* Number of removed critical accident sites and collision points on Class I roads.
