The main objective of the project, in line with specific objective 5.1.3 of the Human Resources OP, is to improve the situation of the population of marginalised Roma communities (MRC) in the field of social health determinants (SGA) specifically in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of the objective is to protect against extremely serious negative health, but also socio-economic impacts not only on the inhabitants of CLLD themselves, but also on entire municipalities or regions. The project complements and directly replaces the fully operational national project Healthy Communities 2B (NP ZK 2B). The main activity of the project is the implementation and development of medical mediation and awareness-raising in CLLD with primary focus on the Covid 19 pandemic and is to be implemented through an extended network of health support assistants and coordinators directly in the targeted MRC project. All planned activities of the main objective jointly focus on primary prevention (in particular monitoring and education) on the one hand, and on the other on mitigating the impact of the introduction of the COVID-19 pandemic into CLLD in the long term, i.e. not only current, but also in relation to the likely ensuing waves of this epidemic. In particular, mitigation should consist of the early identification of possible outbreaks of COVID-19 into CLLD, the prevention of the spread of the disease in the environment (secondary prevention) and the promotion of access to healthcare for the population of CLLD affected by the disease or related quarantines. Project activities will be carried out in seven regions of Slovakia (with the exception of the Bratislava Region), measurable project indicators are primarily aimed at employing persons from the MRC. It is an activity that reflects current preventive measures in relation to Covid 19 and is based on a long-term successful practice of so-called medical mediation.
