The project focuses on research and development in the production of other means of transport, including their functional services, quality, testing, metrology and related processes for unmanned aerial vehicles, the development of an Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) that can be used to transport material in dangerous and often life-threatening situations, and ICT support systems for UAS needs. In view of the above, the project is presented within the domain ‘Means of transport for the 21st century’. The complexity and novelty of the present project reflects, among other things, a broad link to a number of highly innovative projects within the European and international space. The quality of the project presented is also demonstrated by the planned project outputs measured by the project indicators. The Consortium is composed of two renowned universities (Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, University of Žilina), a representative of the small and medium-sized enterprises sector (AerobTec) and a non-profit research organisation – Medirex Group Academy, whose involvement as a representative of independent biomedical research and development ensures a link between the research and development activities of the present project on the COVID-19 pandemic. From the perspective of the main results of the project in case of its implementation vzniknú:Celý a series of prototypes addressing various technical/construction aspects of drones and design models for the optimal way of transporting different types of biological material,2 patent applications,34 publications.
