Agglomeration Chrenovec – Brusno – sewerage system

The aim of the project is to improve the collection and treatment of urban waste water in the agglomeration Chrenovec – Brusno, which consists of the municipalities Ráztočno, Jalovec, Chrenovec – Brusno, Lipník and Veľká Čausa in the Prievidza district, which is included in Annex 7 of the Call and is not in line with the requirements of Council Directive 91/271/EEC. In the villages of Handlovská Basin, which are part of the agglomeration Chrenovec – Brusno, is not built at all. The unbuilt sewerage network and thus insufficient wastewater treatment threatens surface and groundwater, living conditions and the health of the population, and is one of the main environmental problems in all municipalities, which have been unresolved for several years. Sewage sewerage will be built in the agglomeration within the project. Waste water will be transferred to the common catchment WWTP Prievidza. The objective of the project will be ensured through 1 main activity called sewer network. Within it, a gravitational sewerage network will be built in all five municipalities, including twelve service stations. The total length of the newly built sewer network will be 34,141 km. The increased population with improved urban water treatment will be 3695 pO, resulting in 88.55 % of the connection of the EO to the sewerage network in the agglomeration. The project will improve the quality of the environment and the life of the population as well as the protection of surface and groundwater in the upper Nitra basin.
