Improvement of educational infrastructure in agri-food and technical SOŠ, Kušnierska Gate 349/2, Kežmarok – Stage I

The Prešov Self-Governing Region, as a pilot region in Slovakia, participated in the European Commission’s initiative to support catching-up regions “Catching-up Regions Initiative”.Proposed project “Improving educational infrastructure in agri-food and technical SOŠ, Kušnierska Gate 349/2, Kežmarok – Stage I” is one of the projects proposed under the “Improving Secondary Vocational Education and Training” component in order to achieve the specific objective of increasing the number of secondary vocational school pupils in practical teaching by improving the quality of vocational education and training by investing in the improvement of material-technical equipment and equipment, as well as by supporting cooperation with employers by creating common training spaces with the training needs. It is the first stage of the investment within this secondary vocational school (hereinafter also referred to as CSS). Within the first stage, it will be implemented under the specific objective of 2.2.3. aktivita:Modernizácia material and technical equipment SOŠ agri-food and technical, Kušnierska Gate 349/2, Kežmarok (type of act. (A)As a result of the development of technologies, changes in the labour market, changes in socio-economic conditions, the material and technical equipment of professional classrooms, workshops and other professional workplaces of the school is not sufficient and does not meet the requirements of today’s standards, the needs of potential employers and does not correspond to today’s trends in agriculture, food and related sectors. The outputs of the investment made will have a long-term positive impact not only on pupils, but also on the whole region, which is characterised not only by tourism but also by developed agriculture and forestry. The results of this project are quantified using the following measurable indicators: P0068 Capacity of supported school infrastructure SOŠ; P0310 Number of SOEs supported.
