Improving the material equipment of the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic to reduce the negative impact in connection with the spread of COVID-19

The implementation of the submitted project will improve the material equipment of the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic (Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic), which will ultimately contribute to reducing negative impacts in relation to the spread of COVID-19, or other epidemiological risks and emergencies, which could endanger the health of employees of the Ministry of the Interior and, indirectly, the health of Slovak citizens. The staff of the department must at all times take care of their safety and their health, as well as the safety and health of the persons directly affected by their actions or their abstention. It follows from the above that the department has an obligation to ensure a sufficient number of personal protective equipment (SPW) and other intervention capacities in order to protect the health of its employees as far as possible. The reinforced intervention capacities acquired through the implementation of the project will be used in the activities of the HaZZ, RZ and public interest personnel. Their distribution will be based on the current needs and requirements of the various departments of the Ministry of the Interior and will reflect the evolution of the situation with the spread of COVID-19. The place of implementation of the project is the whole territory of the Slovak Republic.The use of PPE and disinfection acquired through the implementation of the submitted project is wide-ranging and can be applied to any emergency affected by climate change, which increases the efficiency of the funds spent from the European Regional Development Fund. The main activity of the project is the optimisation of systems, services and the strengthening of intervention capacities for emergency management at local and regional level aimed at reducing negative impacts related to the spread of COVID-19 and subactivity A2: provision of special equipment necessary for timely and efficient intervention. Measurable indicators of the project sú:Počet entities with improved equipment of intervention capacities: 1 Ministry of the Slovak Republic, Value of purchased personal protective equipment: EUR 7929604,49,Personal protective equipment: 4 258 136,00 pcs.
