The present project concerns the reconstruction and modernisation of road II/487 in the district of Čadca. The road connects the village of Makov with the town of Čadca in Žilina Region, okres Čadca. Communication begins with connection to road I/18 in Makov and ends in Čadca by connecting to road I/11, passes through village Vysoká nad Kysucou, town Turzovka and further through villages Podvysoká, Staškov and Raková. By implementing the project activities, we will reconstruct the road in the area of cumulative station road CKM 46.285-48.350 (2.065 m) – 1.sec (k.ú.Turzovka and Podvy High) and CKM 55.492-56.875 (1.383 m) – 2.sec (k.ú.Raková). Via road II/487, the Kysúc area is connected to the comprehensive TEN-T network, which connects to Corridor VI via road I/11 in the district town of Čadca. By implementing the project activities, we will improve accessibility to TEN-T infrastructure in the Kysuce region. By reconstructing the road, we will also improve the connection of Kysuce to the settlement centres of the third and fourth groups, thereby contributing to balanced territorial development and at the same time improving transport accessibility to industry in the region.
