The solved road II/537 ensures the interconnection of the districts Prešov, Poprad, Liptovský Mikuláš and ensures accessibility to related social, tourist and recreational services and at the same time, road II/537 serves to connect adjacent municipalities and economic actors of the Prešov Self-Governing Region. The existing roadway II/537 passes through the extravalany and intravilan of several villages in the direction from Liptovský Hrádok, where it connects to the road I/18 to Tatranská Kotlina, where it is connected to the road I/66. The project in question solves its reconstruction in the section from Podbanský to spider valley.  The current state of the road II/537 road in km 18,510-26.130 with a length of 7,620 km does not meet the basic required and safety standards of the second class road. The project includes complete and comprehensive road reconstruction, in sections where necessary, there will be a modification of the width parameters of the road. The building consists of road building 101-00, bridge objects (201-00 and 202-00). The construction begins with a section in km 18,510 and ends in km 26,130 road II/537 with a total length of 7,620 km. Construction works do not interfere with other objects and networks. There will be temporary securing of networks during the execution of construction works.Wide layout of road II/537 is 9.50 m. The implementation of the project eliminates dangerous elements, which will have a beneficial effect on the shortening of traffic time on the road, will contribute to saving time, including VOD, will improve traffic flow and thus its transport safety. Overall, road transport conditions for residents and visitors of the functional region Prešov, Poprad will be improved. This will have a proportionate impact on increasing the attractiveness of the region, increasing mobility and green transport, which will improve the quality of the environment of the country concerned.The project mainly results in the reconstruction and modernisation of the 7.620 km of the class II road.
