The aim of the National Project (NP) is to promote employment and reduce unemployment among long-term unemployed jobseekers (hereinafter referred to as “UoS”) by acquiring and deepening work skills. The NP will be implemented through a main activity aimed at providing financial contributions to support job creation to an employer who will recruit UoZ from the eligible target group. The NP will be implemented in accordance with Section 54(1)(a) of Act No 5/2004 on employment services and amending certain acts, as amended (‘the Employment Services Act’). The project will be implemented by the Central Office of Labour, Social Affairs and Family (hereinafter referred to as “Headquarters”) and 43 employment, social affairs and family offices (hereinafter referred to as “the Offices”) within Western, Central and Eastern Slovakia. The current labour market situation is characterised by high levels of long-term unemployment. Disadvantaged UoZs who are out of work for a long time often lose their motivation to look for a job, thereby losing their work habits and skills that are essential for integration into the labour market. The aim of the NP is to stimulate this group of UoZ, whose labour market participation is more difficult without intervention. The implementation of the NP increases employment, employability and reduces unemployment of long-term unemployed UoZ, thereby contributing to the achievement of specific objective 3.1.1 of the Human Resources Operational Programme (hereinafter referred to as “HRP”).  Target group (OP HR, specific objective 3.1.1): disadvantaged UoZ under Section 8(1)(c) of the Employment Services Act
