In the context of the implementation of the Operational Programme Integrated Infrastructure (OPII), there has been a need to ensure the acquisition of new knowledge for decision-making, conceptual, methodological and legislative activities, as well as proposals for ways of making the economic policy of the State more effective in the field of transport. The project is implemented through a framework agreement to ensure permanent and analytical activities in the field of transport, the need for which arose from the material Proposal for new tasks of research, development and scientific and technical services for 2014, discussed and approved by the Board of Directors of the Ministry of Transport of the Slovak Republic on 16 December 2013. The objective of the project is to provide analytical activities, studies and advisory services in the field of transport research and development, which the Managing Authority (hereinafter referred to as “the MA”) is insufficient to provide with its own administrative capacity and which will be outsourced by independent experts in the field of transport research. The project will be implemented through one main activity – transport research and development services. The number of evaluations, analyses and studies carried out (14) was chosen as a measurable indicator of the project.
